Food Trucks in RTP

Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, are also called the Triangle for pie-shaped intersections between these rapidly growing cities. Some might argue to include Cary, one of the fastest-growing cities in and around the Research Triangle Park (RTP), but then we’d need to include Wake Forest, Apex, and others. So, for the sake of brevity, let’s shorten today’s post to Food Trucks in RTP with a tip of our hat to every street food-loving hamlet in and around the RTP.

Moblz helps RTP foodies find the best food trucks and comfort food at venues such as The Imperial Center, where Cars and Coffee Morrisville happen every first Saturday of the month, Farm and Garden in Hillsborough, Leith AutoPark Honda in Cary, and the Alexandria Center for Life Science. In addition, Moblz helps property managers plan food truck rodeos and find the best food trucks, from tacos, bulkogi, hot dogs, soul food, and chirba dumplings to providing the world’s first Mobile Vendor Relationship Management (MVRM) application. We also host a popular food truck directory used hundreds of times daily by property managers, owners, and foodies to rate, review, and nominate their favorite food trucks in RTP.

Food trucks are magnificent concessions, movable feasts capable of serving cheesesteaks, pizza, and shaved ice in Raleigh one day and Durham the next, so Raleigh food trucks or Durham food trucks are a myth since anyone can go anywhere all the time. Let’s search for comfort food trucks serving everything from Korean BBQ and Caribbean jerk chicken to queso monsters in RTP.

Let’s use five RTP Food Trucks to discover the rolling ice cream and empanadas rd (Raleigh, Durham) bistro available to triangle residents.

3 Jays Food Truck

Cynthia’s five-star review says, “Super cheesy cheesesteaks with freshly cut veggies were tasty and amazing!” And the pictures don’t lie! 3 Jays food truck knows how to smother, cradle, and combine steak, onions, and Cheese in something right out of south Philadelphia. But don’t stop there because 3 Jays Mongolian Beef and Chicken will make you think you’re visiting Taiwan instead of eating street food in the Triangle.

El Jefecito

If you’re looking for Latin American fusion tacos in the Triangle, El Jefecito’s Chorizo Taco with Pineapple relish and Comeback Sauce or their Chicken Taco with Pimento Cheese, Sweet Chili, and Pico de Gallo will be what you’re looking for, and don’t forget their Bolgogi (Korean Taco).

Safari Eatz

Want to visit Kenya without a long flight or expense? Eating Safari Eatz’s Kenyan Beef, Chicken, and Veggie Street Tacos drowning in kachumbari (a medley of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro) makes you feel like Mount Kilimanjaro is in the distance.

Naked Empanada

When you think of empanadas rd or amazing food truck empanadas in Raleigh and Durham, it’s time to get naked. Molly’s review says, “Literally the best empanadas in the world,” She isn’t alone, as Moblz employee Ali swears by them. Ali’s favorite is the Fuzzy- Perfectly seasoned ground beef sautéed with onions, sweet peppers, cilantro, manzanilla olives and diced tomato, but don’t overlook the Tripple P - Pork Sausage, Ham, Chorizo, Onions, Cilantro, Red & Yellow peppers, and a mozzarella/provolone blend cheese that may be the best topping in the Triangle.

Chirba Chirba Dumpling

When we featured Chirba Chirba Dumplings, we noted their secret family recipe. Still, chef Nate’s desire to cook the food he remembered from childhood is a powerful motivation to make exceptional food. We’re big fans of their Juicy Buns but don’t overlook their Chicken Minis tossed in chili oil and Veggie Dumplings. You’ll think you’ve gone to Chirba Dumpling food truck heaven.
