Managing Your 2021 Mobile Amenity Calendars
Happy New Year! How happy are you that 2020 is coming to a close? We know that offering amenities at your properties has been hard in the wake of COVID-19, but now that 2021 is on the horizon you need to be making plans. The hard part is that since we still don’t know what will happen with the pandemic, plans need to be coming together but remain flexible.
As we begin planning 2021 amenities and food truck schedules for our commercial and residential property owners, we’re looking at planning flexible events that can be built out more fully if occupants return to work or scaled back if that becomes necessary. Commercial properties may be looking at trying to restart programming in February (perhaps hosting a Super Bowl tailgate party or a pre-Valentine's pop-up shopping event?) or March (how about hosting a March Madness basketball event with food trucks or a St. Patty's day burgers and beer party in the parking lot?). On the other hand, residential properties may be considering taking events back to evening hours in the event that everyone’s no longer working from home. Finding the right balance at the right time can be tricky to say the least! But don’t forget to be looking to the future…the Summer months should bring another change in plans.
Our suggestion is to plan your 2021 calendars with an optimistic eye for normalcy! Get your events planned (even if not fully coordinated) and food truck calendars built out (even if you need to cancel month by month). Having something in place now for all of the 2021 year will help you pivot quickly as situations change.
