St. Patrick's Day

Have your tenants feeling particularly lucky with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Schedule as close to March 17 as possible. Look for Irish of pub-style food to help bring the spirit. To add to the festivities, hand out themed pins, green beaded necklaces, and more! Encourage everyone to wear green and search for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Offer as an afternoon break if beer service is possible at your location.

Just the Basics

Here are a few easy suggestions for planning your St. Patrick's Day event to get you started:
  • Create Photo Ops. Have a backdrop or balloon rainbow & pot of gold to inspire some fun photos options! Add some props to help out those who forgot to where green.  
  • Broadcast for Irish music to liven up the event.
  • Set up some partty games. St. Patty's Bingo (see things to buy section) or Gold Digger game. (Hide plastic gold coins in a tub filled with shredded paper. Using only a plastic spoon, let employees see how many coins they can find in a minute. Award a prize for the most (could be lunch voucher for the next food truck day)).
  • Schedule a Food Truck to serve lunch. Look for Irish or pub-style food to reinforce the theme. If the property and tenant operations allows, consider beer. If your budget allows, provide free food or discounts. You can give out vouchers or establish criteria the truck vendor accommodates, and then you coordinate with the food truck vendor at the end of the day to pay out anything they’ve awarded. If budget doesn’t allow for rewards, the tenants will still appreciate being able to buy their own lunch while having fun on-site.   
    • We can help you determine a budget based on activities at your other events if needed. Most trucks will work on a maximum so you can give them your budget number and they’ll stop serving free food once that’s reached.  
    • Food Truck Discount Examples: Most food trucks will work with you to create a package to meet your budget. Ideas for how you might incorporate free tenant food include giving the first 20 people in costume free lunch, paying for the first $500 spent at the truck, or paying for an appetizer for anyone in costume up to $250.
