Caffeine Awareness Month and FOMO
About one year ago, we published an article called
FOMA - The Fear of Missing Amenities. It was our take on FOMO marketing - the fear of missing out on something. You’ve all seen little tricks on websites that say “Only 2 left!” or on infomercials with the infamous countdown timers to when a product will no longer be available or would go up in price. Retail stores have been doing it for years! If you’re “of a certain age” you may remember the Blue Light specials at K-Mart. So how does this apply to property management?
With the successful vaccine rollout and the COVID pandemic beginning to wind down in many locations, many of us will be wanting to get our tenants back on campus. What better way than to take advantage of a piece of human nature that wants to not miss out on something.
March is National Caffeine Awareness Month and we think it would be a great idea to combine FOMO marketing with Coffee! Why not host a food truck event that focuses on Coffee and Desserts? If you are in an area that is serviced by MOBLZ, then you can information on a truck by going to the
Vendor Directory. You can filter by cuisine type to find coffee and beverage trucks and dessert trucks. Get tenants back on campus for a social event and they will be more likely to return to work when they are able. Make sure to promote it heavily on your social media channels. Don’t be shy about focusing on the FOMO angle!
